Kiwanis investing in tomorrow
Project KIT provides funding for Union County social workers to offer small grants and assistance, at their discretion, that may enrich that lives of students and support their educational and emotional wellbeing.

School social workers employed by Union County Public Schools serve as liaisons between school, home, and community.  They consult with classroom teachers, school counselors, attendance personnel and school administrators to help eliminate barriers and to promote academic success for all students.  They conduct home visits in order to gather pertinent information and to foster strong relationships between students, families, and school personnel.  Finally, in order to further assist students and families, they often collaborate with community agencies to access appropriate services not traditionally offered by the school system.

2026

Kiwanis of Monroe was proud to present the social workers of Union County Public Schools with $5,000 for Project KIT at our 2026 Annual Appreciation Luncheon.
