Annual Food Drive

Every year, Kiwanis of Monroe hosts a non-perishable/canned food drive in support of the Union County Christmas Bureau. Partnered with Union County Public Schools and Union Academy, we are able to provide more than 45,000 items every year! The students and staff of our community's elementary schools provide, collect, and organize all donations. Kiwanis members and the UCPS Maintenance Department coordinate the pickup and delivery of the donations.
The Union County Christmas Bureau is donor-funded and volunteer-driven. They assist families that qualify for assistance each year by providing Christmas gifts, warm clothing, and food for Christmas dinner and during the children's time off from school. They rely on donations (monetary, food, toys, gifts) and family sponsorships.
2023 was an exceptional year for the Union County Christmas Bureau as more than 545 volunteers helped serve 1,533 families!
