Kiwanis of Monroe Hosts School Leaders

On Thursday October 27, 2011, the Monroe Kiwanis Club hosted a luncheon at Rolling Hills Country Club recognizing Union County Public Schools administrators and counselors. The club was honoring school leadership and their role in the successful Terrific Kids Program.

The club currently sponsors the program in 27 of the 31 elementary schools in Union County.  A member of Kiwanis attends the Terrific Kid Awards Program at each school.

Following lunch, a school representative was given the opportunity to tell what the Terrific Kid Program has meant to their school.  Dr. Ed Davis, UCPS Superintendent, closed the meeting with comments on the value of the program and its emphasis on student character.
