2013 Kiwanis One Day of Caring

Kiwanis of Monroe participated in the International Kiwanis One Day of Caring on April 6th at Sunset Park in Monroe. Club members were joined by the Circle K Club from Wingate University and the Aktion Club of Monroe to provide park clean up, planting of trees & shrubs, mulching and raking the play ground area. This effort was the kick off of a City of Monroe community park clean-up and Kiwanis members hope to encourage other civic, faith-based, and school organizations to jump on board and help with this wonderful revitalization program. Kiwanis is planning phase two at Sunset Park later in the year to construct a natural playscape for children.
